Often a Solicitors’ letter can help to kickstart some communication from the debtor where your attempts to get a response have failed. If you have not recovered the debt after the first stage we will help you to assess whether the debtor has enough assets and money to recover to make it worthwhile taking further action with Court Proceedings.
Once we have started Court Proceedings on your behalf, the debtor usually has 14 days to respond. If the debtor does not file a defence then we can obtain a County Court Judgment (or High Court Judgment depending on the value of the claim) for you. If the debtor is very difficult and is not bothered about the Court Judgment we can take Enforcement action.
